Greenhouse Software, Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own a core domain in our card issuing platform.

You will design high-availability money-moving systems, build and scale RESTful microservices, and drive integrations with networks and processors in Southeast Asia. You will lead architectural decisions, balance features with reliability, and mentor junior engineers while adopting AI-assisted tools to improve delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience on high-scale or financial production systems.
• Expert-level Golang and building microservices in cloud environments.
• Advanced SQL skills (MariaDB/MySQL) including transactions and migrations.
• Strong debugging, judgment on trade-offs, and ability to document technical decisions.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical design for high-availability money-moving systems and architecture decisions.
• Own a core domain (authorization, settlement) with focus on reliability and debt-management.
• Build and scale RESTful microservices with strict idempotency and PCI DSS compliance.
• Drive integrations with card networks, payment processors, and third-party providers.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Ops to break down problems into deliverable work and mentor juniors.
• Pioneer AI-assisted tooling to automate engineering and op workflows in payments contexts.
