Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Backend Developer (.NET) to design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using .NET Core and C#. You will build backend services integrating with front-end apps, third-party platforms, and internal systems in a dynamic, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least 4 years of backend development experience with .NET technologies.
• Strong proficiency in .NET, .NET Core, and C#.
• Solid understanding of OOP and design patterns such as Clean Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with EF Core, LINQ, and Code-First development.
• Good knowledge of RESTful API design and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD (Azure DevOps).
• Strong SQL capabilities with query optimization and schema design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using .NET Core and C#.
• Build backend services that integrate with front-end apps, third-party platforms, and internal systems.
• Contribute to system and platform architecture for scalability, performance, and security.
• Work with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle) using EF Core for data modeling and optimization.
• Implement backend-to-backend integrations and inter-process communication.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint ceremonies.
• Containerize services with Docker and support deployments via CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform performance tuning and root-cause analysis across distributed systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using .NET Core and C#
• Build backend services that integrate with front-end applications, third-party platforms, and internal systems
• Contribute to system and platform architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and clean design principles
• Design and manage relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle), including data modeling, query optimization, and schema design using Entity Framework Core
• Implement reliable backend-to-backend integrations and inter-process communication
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint ceremonies and technical discussions
• Work closely with developers, designers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Containerize services using Docker and support deployments through CI/CD pipelines
• Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis across distributed systems
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and optimization initiatives
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to tools, frameworks, and development practices

A successful BackEnd Developer (.Net) should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent Hands-on experience
• At least 4 years of experience in backend development using .NET technologies

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and modern design patterns such as Clean Architecture
