Job summary

MVSI is a global SAAS Regtech company seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own and operate our production AWS infrastructure. This fully remote role within Malaysia focuses on security, reliability, cost efficiency, and scalable performance across live and non-production environments.

You will strengthen monitoring, automate deployments, and lead incident response while ensuring robust backups and disaster recovery. Collaboration with teams across regions is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, operating and securing production AWS environments.
• Experience owning critical cloud infrastructure for SaaS or other online production platform.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, monitoring, logging and security.
• Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation or equivalent tool.
• Experience improving production availability, resilience and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve our global production and non-production AWS infrastructure.
• Strengthen cloud security, access controls, network security, encryption, logging and secrets management.
• Improve platform availability, redundancy, scalability and performance.
• Establish effective monitoring, alerting and operational dashboards.
• Investigate infrastructure incidents and eliminate their underlying causes.
• Own backups, restoration procedures, disaster recovery planning and recovery testing.
• Implement infrastructure as code and automate repeatable operational activities.
• Support secure, controlled and reliable deployment pipelines.
• Monitor AWS expenditure and actively identify cost-optimisation opportunities.
