Job summary

Insulet is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to design and implement automated assembly and packaging systems. The role leads cross-site teams, coordinates vendors, and drives IQ/OQ/FAT/SAT activities for new technologies and site transfers.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in machine design, strong CAD (SolidWorks) skills, and familiarity with CE, UL, NFPA standards. Travel ~30% to support global projects and manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
• 6+ years of hands-on machine design experience.
• Experience with automation line startup and equipment commissioning.
• Knowledge of CE, UL, NFPA regulations and related standards.
• Proficiency with CAD modelling software (SolidWorks preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement automated equipment for assembly and packaging processes.
• Lead cross-site and cross-functional coordination to ensure alignment on deliverables, timelines and quality.
• Lead IQ, OQ, FAT, SAT and PQ activities for new technologies and site transfers.
• Oversee vendor communications and ensure compliance with SOPs and guidelines.
• Support capital projects including budgeting, cost tracking and forecast updates.
• Mentor and develop project teams and vendor engineers for successful execution.
