Job summary

SanDisk in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Staff Automation Engineer to lead end-to-end automation design for logistics systems, including AS/RS, conveyors, and AGV/AMR/ARV solutions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related field
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience
• 5+ years in automation solution design for logistics/material handling
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for layouts and equipment
• Experience with AS/RS, AGV/AMR/ARV, and OHS/OHT systems
• Strong understanding of material flow and system integration

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end automation solutions for logistics systems including concept design and proposals
• Design and optimize AS/RS, conveyors, and material handling solutions
• Plan and implement AGV/AMR/ARV systems for automation
• Support integration of OHS/OHT in cleanroom and semiconductor environments
• Perform material flow analysis, system simulation, and capacity planning
• Prepare 2D/3D layouts, specifications, and cost estimates
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams for system integration
• Communicate with customers to analyze requirements and present optimized solutions
• Support project execution from design review to commissioning and continuous improvement
