Job summary

UST in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Software Engineer to develop scripts for new operation databases or enhance design automation for big data analytics and efficiency. The role includes collaborating with Program Managers to create NPI databases and merge with existing manufacturing data, plus building Power BI analyses for NPI builds.

You will work with manufacturing engineers to track NPI manufacturing issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define use cases and integrate hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Software Eng/IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience as software developer for production-grade web apps.
• Strong programming and automation skills with C++, C#, Python, etc.
• Experience with front-end tech HTML/CSS/JS and modern JS frameworks.
• AI/ML-based tooling experience is a plus.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop scripts to create new operation databases or enhance design automation tools for big data analytics and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Program Managers to build NPI operation databases and merge with manufacturing data.
• Develop/revamp NPI build data analysis in Power BI.
• Work with manufacturing engineers to build tools tracking NPI manufacturing and customer issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand use cases, propose solutions, and integrate hardware and software systems.
