Job summary

UST in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an Equipment Integration / Automation Engineer to connect shop-floor equipment with the CM MES, enabling real-time manufacturing automation, data collection, and robust communications.

You will implement SECS/GEM and GEM300, develop interfaces, configure middleware, and collaborate with MES, IT, and process engineering to drive factory performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor equipment integration, factory automation, or industrial automation.
• Experience integrating semiconductor manufacturing equipment with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Hands-on experience implementing SECS/GEM, GEM300, or EDA communication standards.

Responsibilities

• Integrate shop-floor manufacturing equipment with CM MES to enable automated production workflows.
• Configure and validate equipment communication interfaces and develop interface documentation.
• Support installation, qualification, and production release activities.
