Job summary

OCBC Malaysia invites an experienced audit professional to support the Country Functional Lead in consumer banking audits. The role focuses on independent, risk-based assurance, governance evaluation, and actionable solutions to improve internal controls.

The candidate will plan and manage audits, validate issues, and ensure documentation meets Group Audit standards. Travel to outstation branches is expected as part of risk monitoring and annual reviews.

Qualifications

• Holds a professional qualification (CPA/CA/CIA) and a bachelor degree.
• At least 5 years or more of auditing/relevant experience.
• Good audit skills and understanding of key risks and controls relating to Wealth Management, in particular for Consumer Banking and/or capital market services licensed FIs (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering and Sales Practices).
• Good command of English (spoken and written).Excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Country Functional Lead for consumer banking to provide independent, risk-based assurance and foresight.
• Plan and manage audits using risk-based and data-driven approaches evaluating governance, risk, compliance and controls.
• Evaluate root causes and partner with management on practical, sustainable solutions to address audit issues and improve controls.
• Validate audit issues and track action plans to completion per Group Audit methodology.
• Ensure audit work is documented to required standards and KPIs.
• Support risk monitoring to identify risk areas and emerging themes.
• Report to: Country Functional Lead, Consumer Banking Audit.
