Job summary

ON Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Penang is seeking a hands-on Assembly Process Engineer to join the External Manufacturing team, focusing on DA, WB, or mold processes. You will lead cost-saving initiatives across subs cons and drive quality, yield, and delivery improvements.

The role reports to the External Manufacturing Manager in KL and requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics with 10+ years in relevant process engineering. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Physics.
• 10+ years of industrial experience in DA, WB or mold process engineering environment.
• Experience with Minitab or JMP statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Subcon operation management focusing on quality, yield and delivery.
• Lead DOE methodology and tools to develop process windows and solve problems.
• Manage change control processes and documentations including risk assessment and schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement in subcon quality and assembly yield.
• Coordinate cross-functional communication to drive on-time change release.
