Job summary

ZALORA Malaysia is seeking a Treasury professional to oversee daily cash positioning, supplier payments, and payment strategy across markets. The role also manages bank accounts, KYC updates, and ongoing system improvements within a fast-paced region.

The candidate should have 5+ years in treasury/financial management, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with Southeast Asia markets. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur with on-site duties at ZALORA Malaysia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in treasury/financial management operations; South-East Asia exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cash Positioning – monitor and manage daily cash positions across all entities and bank accounts.
• Supplier Payments – ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments across all markets.
• Payment Strategy – optimize payment methods and channels to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
• Bank Account Management – maintain and administer all bank accounts, including signatory updates and KYC requirements.
• System Optimization – continuously improve treasury management systems and payment processes.
• Bank Relationships – serve as primary day-to-day contact with regional banking partners.
• Documentation – ensure proper documentation for all treasury transactions.
• Audit Support – support internal and external audit requirements for treasury operations.
• Policy Compliance – ensure compliance with company treasury policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cash Positioning – Monitor and manage daily cash positions across all entities and bank accounts; Payment processing function for all legal entities.


• Supplier Payments – Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments across all markets.


• Payment Strategy – Optimize payment methods and channels (TT, SWIFT, local clearing) to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.


• Bank Account Management – Maintain and administer all bank accounts, including signatory updates and KYC requirements.


• System Optimization – Continuously improve treasury management systems and payment processes.


• Bank Relationships – Serve as primary day-to-day contact with regional banking partners.


• Documentation – Ensure proper documentation for all treasury transactions.


• Audit Support – Support internal and external audit requirements for treasury operations.


• Policy Compliance – Ensure compliance with company treasury policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Financial management or accounting


• 5+ years of progressive experience in an operational and analytical capability in treasury management / financial management. South-East Asia exposure preferred


• Strong analytical and modelling skills


• Attention to details, ability to achieve and maintain a high standard of reporting accuracy and oversight


• Ability to work in a high paced, demanding environment while effectively managing multiple priorities and responsibilities concurrently
