Job summary

EPF Malaysia is seeking an experienced investment professional to coordinate planning and development of new strategies, mandates, and investment products. The role involves lead market research, building relationships with EFMs and consultants, and coordinating with custodians on strategy establishment.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in investments, portfolio analytics, asset allocation optimization, and proficiency with investment databases and software across asset classes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, banking, finance, investment, economics or actuarial science recognised by the Government.
• Investment-related professional qualifications such as CFA are an added advantage.
• Minimum 7 years in investment management or portfolio analytics with data-driven evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantitative analyses and feasibility studies for new products and strategies.
• Lead or support projects and proposals within the department.
• Coordinate with index providers on new indices or changes to settings.
• Manage relationships with EFMs and custodians for new mandates.
• Develop proposals for new mandates and managers with strong track records.
• Collaborate with internal teams on Shariah, risk, operations, taxation, and implementation.
• Attend market briefings and share insights with colleagues.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
