Job summary

ams OSRAM is seeking a senior AI/ML specialist to design and deploy generative AI solutions, knowledge graphs, and retrieval-augmented workflows for business applications in Malaysia. You will work with cross-functional teams to build AI-powered apps, optimize LLM architectures and ensure reliable, measurable performance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience implementing ML/AI solutions with Python, R or similar languages.
• Strong expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, Knowledge Graphs, AI Agents, prompt engineering and evaluation.
• 7+ years hands-on experience in Data Science, ML, LLMs, and AI.
• Deep understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings and semantic search.
• Knowledge of Knowledge Graphs and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
• Experience with GraphRAG and hybrid retrieval approaches.
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI and related cloud AI services.
• Knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps incl. deployment, monitoring, testing and governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered applications, AI agents and Copilot experiences with LLMs and modern AI tech.
• Design and optimize LLM-based solutions, including prompt engineering and tool calling.
• Develop knowledge graph solutions to model complex business relationships.
• Evaluate and fine-tune AI systems with safety guardrails and hallucination reduction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions.
