EY's AI & Data team is seeking a Manager (Data Science & AI) to lead end-to-end AI and data science engagements across industries from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role blends technical execution with client interaction and team leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in data science/AI, strong Python skills, and hands-on experience with ML/DL, GenAI, and MLOps. You’ll work with cloud platforms and guide governance and responsible AI practices while delivering measurable business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or Advanced Analytics.
• Proven experience leading AI and data science projects from strategy through implementation.
• Hands-on experience in machine learning model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience delivering client-facing engagements, including stakeholder management and project leadership.
• Strong proficiency in Python and common AI/ML libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
• Experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs and foundation models.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end AI and data science engagements from problem definition through deployment.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and AI solutions addressing business challenges.
• Develop Generative AI applications using LLMs for intelligent search, document understanding, and virtual assistants.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation, prompt engineering, and vector search.
• Provide governance guidance on responsible AI and model risk management.
• Work with Data Engineering and Cloud teams to operationalize AI solutions and deployment pipelines.
• Manage project teams, mentor juniors, and contribute to capability development.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Support business development, proposals, and client workshops.
