EY's AI & Data team in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Manager (Data Engineering) to design and deliver modern data platforms and cloud-based data solutions for clients across industries. You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor data engineers, and drive end-to-end data transformations in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Platform Development, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing client-facing projects.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and data architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience developing and managing large-scale data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end data engineering engagements, including data architecture, integration, modernization, and cloud migration.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead cloud-based data transformation programs leveraging Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud technologies.
• Establish and enforce best practices in data governance, quality, metadata, security, and compliance.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT frameworks for ingesting, transforming, and processing large data volumes.
• Support AI, ML, and analytics solutions by providing scalable data foundations.
• Lead data engineers across client engagements and provide coaching and mentorship.
• Conduct architecture reviews, solution assessments, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Support business development through workshops, proposals, and client pursuits.
