Job summary

Kawan Food Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive / Accounts Executive to manage full-set accounting, AR/AP, GL and treasury duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves close collaboration with management and external auditors.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, a degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance, strong Excel skills, and readiness to be based in Pulau Indah, Klang. Oracle Netsuite experience is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in full-set accounting or specialized asset/inventory management in manufacturing/FMCG.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and asset/inventory lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set accounts and daily operations including AP/AR/GL, treasury, and banking.
• Ensure timely monthly closings and prepare financial reports for management and audits.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register (FAR), CWIP, asset tagging, and asset locations; assist physical counts.
• Reconcile inventories, stock variances, scrap, and obsolescence; prepare related journal entries.
• Coordinate with external auditors and company secretaries; ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
