Job summary

GSKL Property Holding Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. You will manage complex accounting transactions, support financial statements preparation, and ensure compliance with MFRS and accounting standards.

The role requires 5–7 years post-qualification experience, proficiency in ERP systems and Excel, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA/MICPA or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with strong Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of MFRS and accounting best practices.
• Strong GL management, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial statement prep.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines during busy periods.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor juniors.
• Experience in property or real estate accounting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions across the general ledger.
• Preparing and reconciling balance sheets, P&L, and other financial reports.
• Managing accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and payments.
• Conducting month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Maintaining documentation and schedules for audit trails.
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies and reconciliation issues.
• Liaising with external auditors and providing financial documentation.
• Supporting accounting policy development and procedures.
• Assisting in budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Supervising junior accounting staff and mentoring as needed.

About the role

GSKL Property Holding Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team in a full-time capacity. Based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, this is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reporting. As a Senior Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for managing complex accounting transactions, maintaining financial records, and supporting the preparation of financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards. This role is essential to maintaining the financial health and regulatory compliance of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions with precision and accuracy across the general ledger
• Preparing and reconciling balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment coordination
• Conducting month-end and year-end financial close procedures
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation and supporting schedules for audit trails and regulatory purposes
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies and reconciliation issues in a timely manner
• Liaising with external auditors and providing necessary financial documentation
• Supporting the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
• Assisting in budget preparation and variance analysis
• Supervising junior accounting staff and providing guidance on accounting matters

What we're looking for

• A recognised accounting qualification (such as ACCA, MICPA or equivalent)
• Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with strong Microsoft Excel skills
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and accounting best practices
• Strong understanding of general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines during busy accounting periods
• Strong communication skills and the capability to explain complex financial information clearly
• Demonstrated experience in supervising or mentoring junior accounting team members
• Experience in property or real estate accounting is advantageous
