Aluminium Company of Malaysia Bhd is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance and statutory reporting for the Group. The role requires ensuring accurate financial information, adherence to MFRS and regulatory deadlines, while coordinating audits and internal controls across the organisation.

The position involves group consolidation, liaison with external auditors and tax agents, budget support and system enhancements to improve reporting

Responsabilidades

• Oversee monthly and year-end closing activities for ALCOM Group and subsidiaries, ensuring timely completion per closing timetable.
• Review general ledger balances, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions and intercompany eliminations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate consolidation adjustments, intercompany reconciliations and investments in subsidiaries.
• Prepare and review Group consolidated financial statements and related notes.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, tax and SST regulations.
• Coordinate MBRS filings and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Liaise with tax agents and authorities on tax matters and monitor changes in tax legislation.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting, analyze variances and support management decision-making.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, follow up on audit findings and strengthen internal controls.
• Support ERP and reporting system improvements (e.g., Power BI) and staff development.
