BHP is seeking a Finance professional in Malaysia to support period end close, journal postings, and monthly group reporting. The role emphasizes strong analysis, data verification, and adherence to financial controls within a large corporate framework.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with professional qualifications (CPA/ACCA/CIMA/CA) and experience with SAP, aiming for accurate, timely financial reporting and risk-aware decision support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Professional qualification (CPA/ACCA/CIMA/CA) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, Our Requirements, Code of Conduct and statutory obligations.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
• Coordinate period end close, journal postings and monthly group reporting timelines.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations and verify data accuracy for reported results.
• Support and drive standardisation and continuous improvement within BOS practices.
• Participate in SOX compliance by maintaining effective controls.
• Assist in internal and external audit requirements.
