Job summary

Business Support Solutions, based in Kuala Lumpur, seeks an accounting professional to own key accounting processes and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will support month-end close, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive improvements to internal controls.

With 5+ years of experience and a CPA being preferred, you will work on system enhancements, automation, and finance transformation projects, contributing to compliant and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA is preferred but not required.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record complex journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial results and explain significant variances.
• Assist in tax reporting and statutory compliance.
• Review accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Partner with various business functions to resolve accounting issues and support operational initiatives.
• Participate in system enhancements, process automation, and finance transformation projects.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned.
