Job summary

PGH Group in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead accounting and reporting functions. The role emphasizes full set of accounts, month-end closings, budgeting, and financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

You will liaise with auditors, tax agents, and management, ensure compliance with Malaysia's tax rules, and mentor junior staff while driving process improvements and SOP enhancements.

Qualifications

• ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA, or related professional qualification.
• Minimum 5–7 years of working experience in finance and accounting field.
• Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and management reporting.
• Familiar with Malaysian tax regulations and e-Invoice requirements.
• Candidates with audit experience will have an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience in AutoCount, SQL, or ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full set accounts and monthly financial reports.
• Prepare financial analysis and management reports.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging, cash flow, and budget performance.
• Review trial balance, accounting entries, and reconciliation processes.
• Manage AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company secretaries.
• Perform tax planning activities.
• Monitor inventory reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist in improving financial processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Supervise and guide junior finance team members.
