Job summary

Haworth Malaysia is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the general ledger, prepare monthly financial reports and support close processes, delivering timely insights to enable informed decisions.

You will collaborate with market finance teams, ensure compliance with US GAAP and local regulations, process payments, manage fixed assets, and support ad-hoc finance projects within a multinational, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related qualification.
Minimum of 3 years’ audit experience with one of the Big Four audit firms (mandatory).
Preferably 1–2 years of accounting experience in a shared services environment, at Analyst level.
Strong IT proficiency, especially in advanced spreadsheet applications and database management.
Demonstrated multitasking, with analytical capabilities and solid financial planning skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare the monthly financial reporting package, including account reconciliations.
Follow up on outstanding reconciliation items to ensure accuracy.
Support month-end closing activities, collaborating with market finance teams.
Assist in reporting, consolidation, and analysis of financial results.
Serve as a key contact for auditors, ensuring US GAAP and local compliance.
Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Handle daily finance operational tasks and cross-functional queries.
Perform payment processing, PO invoice matching, and asset management.
Prepare ad-hoc analyses, reports or presentations as requested.
