Job summary

PERSOL Malaysia is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to manage GL activities, ensure compliance with corporate policies, and support month-end closings. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams and various accounting departments to maintain accurate financial records.

Candidate should have a Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics, 3–5 years of experience, and strong English communication. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power BI is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 3–5 years of operational experience in Finance/Accounting.
• Good knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Fixed Assets capitalization and depreciation.
• AFE / CIP tracking.
• Lease accounting process.
• Inventory adjustment and reporting.
• Other general ledger related accounts booking.
• Month end closing and monthly financial statements with schedules.
• Monthly/quarterly/year-end reports per group requirements.
• Financial analysis and reconciliations for management review.
• Ensure internal control procedures compliant with policies.
