Job summary

Liquid Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on bank reconciliations, daily settlement activities, and ensuring accuracy of transactions within internal controls and accounting standards.

The successful candidate should have 4–5 years of accounting experience, a degree in Accountancy or Finance, and a professional qualification such as ACCA. Proficiency in Excel is essential, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance; ACCA or professionally qualified candidates preferred.
• 4–5 years of accounting experience in corporate setting.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bank reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• There will be a 30-minute technical test if shortlisted.
• Application will include questions on right to work in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of accounts and ensure timely recording of transactions.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and investigate reconciling items.
• Monitor and reconcile daily sales settlements across payment channels.
• Investigate discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing with journals and reconciliations.
• Liaise with banks and external service providers to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation per policies.
