Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work fully in-office in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post complex journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings timely.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze variances, resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and supporting docs.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights on trends.
• Support tax reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting issues.
• Contribute to system enhancement, automation and finance transformation projects.
• Undertake ad hoc analyses and special projects as required.
