Job summary

Kulicke & Soffa is seeking a General Ledger Accountant in Malaysia to manage monthly closes for regional entities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain statutory compliance. You will work with AP/AR/FA/Treasury teams to streamline processes and support audits.

The role requires 3+ years in finance/accounting, strong Excel and ERP skills, and exposure to regional finance environments. A Big 4 background is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years in Finance/accounting, with 2-3 years in full set accounting for mid-sized companies.
• Experience in regional finance environment is an advantage.
• Audit experience in Big 4 is an advantage.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and ERP systems; Oracle/COGNOS knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Month-end closing for regional entities including journal processing, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, intercompany, and tax computations.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and post-close review; prepare required reports.
• VAT/WHT submissions monthly/quarterly to authorities within deadlines.
• Coordinate with AP/AR/FA/Treasury/Inventory to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure statutory and local compliance; liaise with external providers for annual reports.
• Support SOX compliance and participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
