Job summary

Cypark Resources Berhad seeks a Resident Engineer (275kV) to ensure safe operation, maintenance, and engineering integrity of the 275kV GIF and HV assets at the Solar Plant. You will oversee high-voltage switching, grid compliance, and performance targets while coordinating with TNB Grid, OEMs, and contractors.

You will lead protection coordination, asset management, and emergency response, ensuring ISO compliance and smooth export to the National Grid.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; recognised by BEM.
Registered Graduate Engineer or Professional Engineer (Ir.) with BEM preferred; mandatory 275kV certificate.
Minimum 10 years of experience in High Voltage/Extra High Voltage systems.
Minimum 5 years as a Competent Engineer for 275kV substations or transmission systems.
Experience with utility-scale Solar PV plants, IPPs, TNB Grid, and regulatory coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead EHV asset management and maintenance planning for 275kV GIS/AIS switchyards and associated assets.
Oversee compliance with ST regulations, TNB Grid code, Energy Commission, and ISO frameworks.
Coordinate protection relay activities, testing, and commissioning with OEMs and contractors.
Perform root-cause analyses, RCA, and preventive maintenance planning using DGA and thermography.
Support grid integration and minimize downtime during outages and scheduled shutdowns.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure HSE standards during all activities.
