Job summary

UDA Facility Management is seeking an experienced Chargeman BO 11kV to join on a contract basis in Ipoh, Perak. The role oversees safe operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of 11kV electrical systems across facilities.

The position requires strong leadership, high‑voltage expertise, and the ability to manage maintenance records while coordinating with operations and contractors. A safety‑driven mindset and ongoing professional development are essential.

Qualifications

• The candidate has a recognized electrical engineering qualification or equivalent certification.
• Experience as Chargeman or senior technician for 11kV systems.
• Knowledge of high-voltage switchgear and distribution equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical docs.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and maintain maintenance records.
• Driving license is advantageous.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operation and maintenance of 11kV switchboard equipment and distribution systems.
• Monitor safety and compliance with regulations and standards.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and apply corrective actions promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and system performance.
• Liaise with operations and contractors to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety codes and company policies.
• Respond to emergencies and implement safety procedures.
