Job summary

Cofreth (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Chargeman BO 11KV to safely operate, monitor, and maintain electrical and building services within our facilities in Malaysia. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and safety regulations while coordinating with clients and contractors.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, test gensets, supervise subcontractors, and assist in installation or upgrading of M&E systems.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in facilities, electrical, or M&E maintenance.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems and building services.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and standby/on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and M&E equipment in buildings.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep facilities safe and reliable.
• Test and maintain generators (gensets) to ensure operation during power failures.
• Inspect and ensure compliance with safety regulations and contract requirements.
• Supervise subcontractors to meet timelines and standards.
• Assist in installation, modification, upgrading, and commissioning of M&E systems.
• Inspect buildings and equipment to identify hazards and take corrective action.
• Troubleshoot faults and propose cost-saving improvements.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and actions.
