Job summary

Tenby International School Setia EcoHill is seeking an Inclusion Teaching Assistant to support the SEN Centre and mainstream classrooms for students aged 4–16. You will deliver planned activities, assist with learning access, and help students build confidence and independence under guidance from the SENCo and teaching staff.

The role emphasizes delivering established plans, with a focus on observation, feedback and professional conduct to uphold school values and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Able to deliver 1:1 and small-group support based on plans from teachers or SENCo.
• Excellent observation and feedback skills.
• Professional, patient and supportive approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small group support for SEN students based on plans from teachers and specialists.
• Support students aged 4–16 in the SEN Centre and mainstream classrooms.
• Break tasks down, give clear instructions, and encourage participation.
• Implement IEP targets, support plans, and therapy strategies as directed.
• Support communication, behaviour, emotional regulation, and sensory needs.
• Encourage independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Observe progress and provide clear feedback to teachers and the SENCo.
• Prepare learning materials and adapt resources; collaborate with teachers and specialists.
• Promote student wellbeing, inclusion, dignity, and safety at all times.
