Job summary

Straits International School Penang is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with students under the guidance of the class teacher, modelling positive behaviour and supporting safety and inclusion in the classroom.

You will assist with preparing activities, supervising during outings, supporting the curriculum, and helping teachers with daily tasks while upholding ISP safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities

• To work alongside students in activities, establishing good relationships and acting as a role model.
• To always have regard for the safety and well-being of the student.
• To encourage inclusion within the classroom and interactions among students.
• To assist in supervising students during outings or visits.
• To assist with preparation and tidying of classroom equipment and materials.
• To receive instruction from teachers regarding daily/weekly activities and events.
• To support the display of student work and help maintain a positive learning environment.
• To adhere to Health & Safety policies and school safeguarding guidelines.
