Job summary

techware Group in Malaysia seeks an Operations Manager to oversee machine assembly in a semiconductor setting. You will manage production, warehouse logistics, and quality control to ensure on-time delivery and high standards.

The role requires strong leadership, 5 years in high-tech manufacturing, and deep knowledge of semiconductor assembly, processes, and safety. You’ll drive continuous improvement and collaborate with engineering and procurement for operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications would be advantageous.
• 5 years of semiconductor manufacturing or related high-tech experience, especially in machine fabrication and production management.
• Strong leadership and ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor assembly processes, equipment, and quality control methodologies.
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the machine production team to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Develop and implement efficient production processes to optimize output and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with engineering/design to streamline assembly and improve efficiency.
• Manage resources (manpower, machinery, materials) to meet delivery targets.
• Create and enforce SOPs to ensure smooth workflow and safety compliance.
• Oversee warehouse operations: inventory control, material handling, and storage procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability and minimize discrepancies.
• Establish stringent quality control measures and conduct regular audits for continual improvement.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and regular performance feedback to teams.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols; promote safety culture.
• Manage disciplinary procedures following company policy and legal guidelines.
