Job summary
Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd in Ipoh, Malaysia, seeks a Maintenance Engineer to lead a team of technicians in maintaining and setting up semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
You will drive improvements through automation and tooling, coordinate daily maintenance, and ensure equipment calibration and quality compliance across shifts. The role requires strong troubleshooting, PLC/control systems knowledge, and the ability to read technical schematics, with emphasis on preventive and predictive
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair lithography, etching, deposition, or CMP tools.
- Reading and interpreting machine schematics and technical diagrams.
- Understanding of PLC programming and sensor/actuator feedback loops.
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems and cleanroom protocols.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities for all manufacturing equipment.
- Supervise and train maintenance technicians.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades/modifications.
- Monitor setup and buy-off before production assignment.
- Minimize downtime by ensuring spare parts availability and calibration of instruments.
- Ensure quality and adherence to SOPs and specifications.
- Communicate quality alerts and feedback across shifts.
