Semiconductor Field Service Manager

Job summary

AEM Microtronics Malaysia invites applications for a Service Manager to oversee field service engineering operations across sites, ensuring alignment with company strategy, customer satisfaction and safety.

You will lead the service team, plan installation, maintenance and repair of semiconductor testing equipment, coordinate with engineering and commercial teams, and manage escalations and CIP-driven upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with 8 years related experience.
• 5+ years of management or supervisory experience leading a support team.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic, electromechanical and fluid handling systems.
• Experience with semiconductor automated equipment.
• Knowledge of SLAs and operational schedules.
• Ability to develop internal relationships with sales and product management.
• Mandarin-speaking preferred for communicating with Chinese counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and direct installation, operation, maintenance, or repair of semiconductor testing equipment at customer sites.
• Attend engineering meetings to stay abreast of CIP’s, upgrades, and changes.
• Define project tasks, resource requirements, and facilitate scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Provide post-sales support and lead on escalations, CIP’s, training, and documentation.
• Establish safety procedures and ensure work adheres to safety protocols.
• Travel to customer locations as required.
• Liaise with sales, product management, operations, and logistics to ensure alignment.
• Develop tracking matrices to improve tool reliability and identify upgrade opportunities.
