Job summary

Acquirax Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) to perform on-site installation, maintenance and repair of E.O.L. equipment across client sites in Ipoh and Penang.

You will diagnose complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document all service activities while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires a diploma or degree in engineering, strong communication and troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience working as a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) or in a similar technical field support role
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues on E.O.L. Semiconductor equipment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical clients
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple service calls
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (Ipoh and Penang)
• Physical capability to perform hands-on engineering work and lift equipment as required
• Commitment to health and safety standards and adherence to compliance regulations
• Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering quality support
• Preferred: Relevant technical certifications or specialised training in specific Semiconductor equipment types

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment
• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing in accordance with established schedules and protocols
• Document all work completed, including detailed service reports and maintenance records
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and troubleshoot critical equipment failures
• Maintain and manage field equipment and tools, ensuring they are in working order
• Collaborate with the technical team to identify recurring issues and implement improvements
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients on equipment operation and best practices
• Travel to various client sites across the region as required
