Job summary

Acquirax Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) to perform on-site installation, maintenance and repair of E.O.L. equipment.

The role requires diagnosing issues, implementing durable fixes, and performing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. The candidate should possess a Diploma/degree in Engineering and have strong technical knowledge, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience working as a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) or in a similar technical field support role
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills for E.O.L. Semiconductor equipment
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical information to non-technical clients
• Strong organisational and time management abilities to manage multiple service calls
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (Ipoh and Penang)
• Physical capability to perform hands-on engineering work and lift equipment
• Commitment to health and safety standards and compliance regulations
• Customer service orientation with focus on delivering quality support
• Preferred: Relevant technical certifications or specialised training in specific Semiconductor equipment types

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment
• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing per schedules and protocols
• Document all work completed, including detailed service reports and maintenance records
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and troubleshoot critical equipment failures
• Maintain and manage field equipment and tools, ensuring they are in working order
• Collaborate with the technical team to identify recurring issues and implement improvements
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients on equipment operation and best practices
• Travel to various client sites across the region as required
