Job summary

Onto Innovation Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair and maintain our inspection tools across the SEA region. You will troubleshoot hardware, software and networking components and deliver on-site service with a focus on reliability.

The role requires 2–3 years in semiconductor field service, an engineering degree, strong customer communication, and a willingness to travel up to 50%. You will submit service reports and contribute to product feedback to the US factory.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of field service experience in the semiconductor industry preferred.
• Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain Onto Innovation inspection tools.
• Respond to down-tool situations and provide scheduled maintenance in the SEA region.
• Support field operations including system hardware, software, PCs, networking and related technologies.
• Submit service documentation and provide technical feedback to the US factory.
• Act as the technical and administrative liaison with customers for assigned projects.
• Provide feedback to Sales, identifying potential leads and customer needs.
• Support continuous product improvement through service feedback and issue reporting.
