Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Overseas Technical Support Engineer on a renewable contract basis to install, commission, and support semiconductor equipment at customer sites in Malaysia. You will provide after-sales technical support, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with China-based teams.

Strong communication and documentation skills are essential. The role requires a diploma or degree in engineering disciplines, 2+ years of relevant experience, and willingness to travel to China for

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics or other science and engineering disciplines
• Minimum 2+ years (5+ years for diploma holders) of experience in technical support, field service, equipment engineering, maintenance or related engineering roles
• Experience in lithography, metrology, laser, X-ray equipment or related products
• Familiar with semiconductor factory operations and equipment support processes
• Able to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate technical problem-solving with internal teams
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer support skills
• Able to prepare technical reports, service documentation, and issue analysis summaries
• Communication with China-based technical teams & proficiency in English is required

Responsibilities

• Support semiconductor equipment installation, setup, commissioning, and debugging at customer sites
• Provide after-sales technical support and assist in resolving equipment-related issues on-site
• Analyze common equipment problems, summarize findings, and propose improvement plans
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams to follow up on technical issues and ensure proper issue closure
• Conduct customer training on equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures
• Collect and compile feedback on equipment usage, customer requirements, and improvement needs
• Follow up on key customer issues, break down problem points, and track resolution progress
• Prepare service reports, issue summaries, technical documentation, and customer feedback reports
• Maintain strong customer relationships through responsive and professional technical support

Education
