We're looking for a passionate linguist and history buff to join our team as a Sejarah and Malay Language Teacher. This is a full‑time position where you will play a vital role in raising a generation of children who are confident BM speakers, readers and writers! Your role is critical to ensure that your students develop an inquisitive and critical mind, in‑line with the school's vision and mission.
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Sejarah and Bahasa Malaysia to students across multiple year groups.
Create comprehensive lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and learning objectives
Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods
Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic development and understanding
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking
Develop and utilise appropriate teaching materials, resources and technology to enhance learning experiences
Prepare students for national examinations and assessments
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behaviour
Participate in school activities, events and professional development programmes
Collaborate with colleagues to support whole‑school initiatives and curriculum development
A recognised teaching qualification or degree in Education with specialisation in Sejarah and/or Malay Language
A minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a primary/secondary school environment
Fluent proficiency in both Malay and English languages, with excellent communication skills
Strong subject matter knowledge in Malaysian history and Malay language curriculum
The ability to engage and motivate secondary-aged students of varying abilities
Experience in using digital tools and educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and differentiation strategies
Experience with curriculum planning and assessment practices would be advantageous
