Job summary

RED Engineering Design in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Security & ICT Engineer to lead the design and delivery of security infrastructure packages from concept through to completion. You will mentor junior team members and strengthen RED's APAC presence through client-facing project leadership.

The role requires hands-on CAD/BIM development (2D/3D), CCTV design with analytics, and cross-discipline coordination with electrical and mechanical teams. Local market knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with relevant experience in Security & ICT infrastructure design.
• Security & ICT design experience for data centres or commercial buildings is preferred.
• Knowledge of CCTV design, analytics, and field of view planning.
• Understanding of building services integration and BIM coordination.

Responsibilities

• Produce Security & ICT design packages including reports, drawings, schedules and specs.
• Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments for client projects.
• Advise on security planning and client requirements interpretation.
• Develop 2D CAD drawings and 3D Revit models with BIM team collaboration.
• Coordinate ICT design with electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Represent RED ICT at technical meetings with clients and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality and safety guidelines.
