Job summary

GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT TECHNOLOGY SDN.BHD. in Malaysia seeks a Security and Safety Manager (Data Center) to lead on-site security operations, manage service providers, and coordinate with the SOC to protect critical assets.

You will define system security requirements with engineering teams, ensure policy compliance, monitor incidents, and drive security projects to meet scope, timelines, and budget while working independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Excellent communication skills and supplier management experience.
• Project management experience with data security and monitoring.
• Self-initiative with willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet project deadlines.
• Willing to work in the Sedenak/Nusajaya area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site security guards for daily operations.
• Manage security service providers to meet security metrics.
• Coordinate with Security Operations Center (SOC) for security indicators.
• Define system security requirements and collaborate with engineers on security initiatives (data confidentiality, integrity, availability).
• Ensure adherence to policies for safeguarding information assets.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents with quick resolution.
• Lead security projects to meet scope, timelines, and budget.
• Coordinate with SOC on security operation matters.

Manage onsite security guards for daily security operations.

Manage security service provider to ensure all security metrics are met.

Connect withsecurity operations center to complete local security operation and maintenance indicators.

Define system security requirements and collaborate with engineering teams on both internal and customer-facing security initiatives, ensuring the consideration of data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Follow policies, guidelines, and procedures for safeguarding information assets.

Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring quick resolution.

Manage security projects to completion, ensuring they meet scope, timelines, and budget constraints.

Coordinate with SOC team for any security operation matters.

Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

Strong safety awareness.

Good communication skills and experience in supplier management.

Have project management experience data security and monitoring experience.

Self-initiative and willing to learn.

Able to work independently or team and able to meet project datelines.
