Edumaax Liberty Sdn. Bhd. (Imperium International Secondary School) invites applications for a Secondary Teacher to deliver Mathematics & Physics, Geography & Global Perspectives, and ICT (IGCSE) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

The role focuses on supporting students’ academic development and personal growth within an international curriculum. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant subject, with at least 3 years of experience and 2 years in teaching.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of working experience, including 2 years of teaching in a school environment.
• Qualified to teach Mathematics & Physics, Geography & Global Perspectives, and ICT (IGCSE).
• Familiarity with the Cambridge International curriculum, particularly Cambridge IGCSE, is advantageous.
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.

Responsabilités

• Teach Mathematics & Physics, Geography & Global Perspectives, and ICT (IGCSE) per school curriculum and requirements.
• Plan and deliver engaging, interactive lessons to develop knowledge, critical thinking, and problem solving.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and Cambridge IGCSE examinations where applicable.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, revision worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide appropriate support and guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and performance.
• Provide academic guidance and support students’ development.
• Participate in school meetings, co-curricular activities, and academic initiatives.
• Support examination processes including papers, marking, invigilation, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics & Physics, Geography & Global Perspectives, and ICT (IGCSE) in accordance with the school curriculum and academic requirements.
• Plan and deliver engaging, interactive, and effective lessons that develop students’ knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations, including Cambridge IGCSE examinations, where applicable.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, revision worksheets, assignments, and assessment activities.
• Monitor and evaluate students’ academic progress and provide appropriate support and guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and academic performance.
• Provide academic guidance and support students’ social, emotional, and personal development.
• Participate in school meetings, co-curricular activities, student programmes, and other academic initiatives.
• Support examination processes, including preparing examination papers, marking, invigilation, and reporting, where required.
• Assist in school events, marketing activities, open days, and other activities assigned by Management.
• Contribute positively to the overall development and success of the school.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject, or a relevant degree with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education/Teaching.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience, including at least 2 years of teaching experience in a school environment.
• Be qualified and competent to teach Mathematics & Physics, Geography & Global Perspectives, and ICT (IGCSE).
• Familiarity with the Cambridge International curriculum, particularly Cambridge IGCSE, will be an advantage.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
• Possess a positive, responsible, and professional attitude towards work and colleagues.
• Have good communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Have a strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Be able to engage and support students with different learning abilities and needs.
