Job summary

ACGT Sdn Bhd is seeking a focused microbiology graduate to manage and operate a fungal laboratory, handling propagation, maintenance, and scale‑up of isolates for production purposes in Sabah.

You will ensure proper data filing, assist in project administration, SOP establishment, and lab equipment upkeep to support smooth research operations. The role requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or equivalent is required.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Sound knowledge of microbiological laboratory techniques and GLP practices.
• Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate a fungal laboratory for propagation, maintenance, and scale‑up of isolates for production purposes.

Job description

The main role is to manage and operate a fungal laboratory focused on the propagation, maintenance, and scale-up of fungal isolates for production purposes.

Key responsibilities

Manage and operate a fungal laboratory focused on the propagation, maintenance, and scale-up of fungal isolates for production purposes

Ensure proper filing and storage of data (hardcopy and softcopy) for further verification or references

Assist in administration and operations related to projects task such as asset auditing, SOP establishment, lab equipment maintenance and reporting for smooth research operations

Assist in the operation of a microbiology laboratory

Recruitment Requirement

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology or an equivalent qualification.

Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

Sound knowledge and practical experience in microbiological laboratory techniques and practices.

Strong research, analytical, critical thinking, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.

Knowledge in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Willing to work in Sabah and for 5.5 days per week.
