  • Perform pastoral duties including student support and counselling for academics.
  • Create or participate in at least one CCA per week.
  • Lead or participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, events, and school exhibitions.

  • A teacher holding no extra management responsibility is required to have a contact teaching load of 75% FTE a week, or in other words, 23 hour-long periods per 30 hours of teaching per week.
  • For teachers with a position of responsibility, the school will allocate appropriate time out of the timetable to manage the role.
  • Provide various learning experiences that actively engage students and are appropriate for their individual needs.
  • Produce yearly schemes of work (SOWs) for your classes and ensure they fulfil the matching syllabi.
  • Establish and communicate clear learning outcomes for daily lessons.
  • Make clear distinctions between learning outcomes and broad-based learning objectives.
  • Respond to feedback and advice received from lesson observations and appraisals.
  • Use ICT in lessons that match the company requirements, such as the use of Toddle or Microsoft Teams.
  • Set homework that has appropriate levels and times for each class dependent on age and ability.
  • Mark student work and give both verbal and written feedback regularly.
  • Incorporate a variety of learning materials and resources.
  • Ensure that all 21CLD attributes as per UCSI's USP are thoroughly embedded in all SOWs and daily lesson plans.
  • Use relevant technology to support instruction.
  • Perform any duties in supporting students, i.e., language support, or remediation.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and all equipment whilst ensuring that school resources and property are used responsibly.
  • Manage student behaviour and enact consequences appropriate to the offence.
  • Maintain vigilance to ensure health and safety when on the school premises and when engaged in authorised school activities elsewhere.
  • Perform pastoral duties that include student support, counselling students with academic problems, and encouraging students to always do well.
  • Create or participate in at least one CCA per week.
  • Lead or participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting events, clubs, student organisations, school exhibitions, education fairs, open days, teacher-parent days, sports days, holiday programmes, and marketing-related activities that would need teachers' professional presence or assistance.
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned to you by your superior from time to time.
