Job summary

Nobel International School in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Security Coordinator on a 2-year contract. The role supports developing, implementing and managing safety programs to protect students, staff and visitors, while safeguarding premises and assets.

Key responsibilities include policy implementation, evaluating security measures, coordinating with RELA and police, and organizing security for events. A SPM or Diploma and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum a SPM certificate or Diploma in relevant field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends or public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and implementing policies, plans, and procedures to support and improve the School’s safety and security programs.
• Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the safety and security measures; recommend and implement improvements, especially in emergency preparedness and risk management.
• Conduct regular walkthrough inspections and coordinate with Security Coordinator and Facilities Manager to ensure adherence to standards.
• Supervise and monitor contract security personnel and provide feedback on performance.
• Coordinate with security personnel, RELA and staff on traffic control during peak hours for safety and efficiency.
• Assist in planning and coordinating security arrangements for school events such as open days and sports events.
• Maintain good relationships with parents, staff and local authorities.
• Coordinate and facilitate security and emergency response training for all security personnel.
• Investigate and review security incidents and prepare incident reports when required.
• Inspect and ensure fire safety equipment is properly installed and accessible.
