Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a reliable school transport driver for routes in Iskandar Puteri and surrounding areas. You will move students and staff between locations, ensuring safety and timely arrivals.

Responsibilities include assisting students on/off the van, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, performing routine safety checks, and complying with traffic laws. A valid Malaysia driving license and knowledge of JB area are essential.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Malaysia driving license with good driving safety record.
• Prior experience as a school van or bus driver advantageous.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations.
• Working knowledge of JB area.
• Working knowledge of Waze/Google Maps.
• Ability to resolve basic repair and maintenance problems.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and staff to and from school and events.
• Assist students getting on and off the van/bus.
• Ensure passenger safety and discipline as needed.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance tasks.
• Obey all traffic laws and safety procedures.

Job description

Transport students from multiple locations to and from school, and for special events such as field trips.

Assist students with getting on and off the van/bus as needed.

Discipline student as needed to maintain a safe environment for all passengers.

Ensure safety of all passengers

Perform duties pertaining to care and maintenance of the vehicles using the vehicles checklist on regular basis, including cleanliness and routine safety inspections to ensure the vehicles are in good working conditions before and after use.

For instance: ensure vehicle is mechanically sound at all times, inspect the lights, brakes, seats, sufficient fuel, safety belts.

Obey all traffic laws.

General driving duties :

Transport staff to various locations

Attend safety meetings as required.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities :-

Support Facility & Maintenance - Non-Driving Related Task

To provide general support to the Facility Team as directed.

For instance :-

Perform building maintenance task

Replace light bulbs in buildings when necessary

Upkeep of railings and walls painting support.

Classroom arrangements

Function set up

To respond to facility related requests and inquiries.

To perform ad-hoc duties whenever assigned by the superior.

Requirements

Possess a valid Malaysia driving license with good driving safety record.

Prior experience as a school van or bus driver would be highly advantageous.

A polite and professional disposition

Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)

Working knowledge of JB area

Working knowledge of Waze/Google maps.

Ability to resolve basic repair and maintenance problems.
