Job summary

Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd. seeks a seasoned Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to optimize plant maintenance activities and schedules.

You will align work orders with available manpower, tools, materials, and equipment to minimize downtime. The role requires coordinating resources, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Experience in relevant process industries and strong CMMS knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, or Process Plant environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and scheduling tools are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and optimize all maintenance activities to keep plant operations smooth.
• Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules aligned with work orders, manpower, tools, and materials.
• Prioritize requests, estimate resources, and ensure preventive, corrective, and shutdown tasks occur with minimal disruption.
• Lead scheduling meetings, communicate updates to stakeholders, and maintain accurate documentation.

Job description

Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, or Process Plant environment.

Scope of Works:

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing all maintenance activities to ensure plant or facility operations run smoothly and efficiently. The role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed maintenance schedules by aligning approved work orders with available manpower, tools, materials, and equipment.
• This includes prioritizing maintenance requests, estimating resource requirements, and ensuring that preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities are executed at the right time with minimal disruption to operations.
• Key duties include allocating resources, monitoring work progress, adjusting schedules for urgent or emergency tasks, and utilizing systems such as CMMS to track work orders and performance. The role also involves leading scheduling meetings, communicating updates to stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while maximizing equipment reliability and plant availability.
