Jdeprofessional in Malaysia invites you to join our SARA internship in Johor starting in January 2026. You will assist the SARA team to build databases for APAC markets, covering health and nutritional claims, additives, and labelling requirements.

This role offers hands-on experience in regulatory research, data compilation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, with meal subsidies and allowances to support your training.

Qualifications

• Academic program: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Nutrition, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent.
• Strong MS Office skills and fluent English (spoken and written).
• Previous hands-on experience in food research is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track regulatory updates across APAC.
• Compile limits of food additives in APAC.
• Compile and analyze shipper information across markets.
• Compile testing requirements for packaging across APAC.
• Conduct market research of products artworks across APAC.
• Standardize nutritional information panels on APAC products.
• Automate generation of nutrient information panels via Excel.
• Compile nutrient claims and requirements in APAC.
• Update SOPs to latest formats/practices.
• Assist SARA in other tasks.
• Improve labeling requirements training materials for APAC.

Join us as Scientific & Regulatory Affairs (SARA) Intern at our Malaysia MU in Johor, starting in January 2026. In this internship, you will support the Scientific & Regulatory Affairs (SARA) team to create a set of databases used primarily for APAC markets, covering health and nutritional claims, additive limits, and labelling requirement. At the end of this project, these database and guideline will be made accessible to relevant functions for future reference.

Project Title

Database Compilation on APAC Regulatory Requirements on health and nutritional claims, Food additives and Food Labelling.

Project Description

The project aims to create a set of databases used primarily for APAC markets, covering health and nutritional claims, additive limits, and labelling requirement. The database on health & nutritional claims will be utilized to support product claims wherever possible. Meanwhile, the database on additives limit aids in recipe compliance check while the database of labelling aims to standardize bulk packaging and shipper labelling across markets. At the end of this project, these database and guideline will be made accessible to relevant functions for future reference.

Responsibilities

• To track regulatory updates across APAC.
• To compile the limits of food additives of coffee mixes in APAC.
• To compile and analyze the shipper information across our markets.
• To compile the testing requirements of packaging across APAC.
• To conduct market research of products artworks across APAC.
• To standardize the nutritional information panels on JDE products in APAC.
• To automate generation of nutrient information panel through Excel.
• To compile the nutrient claims and requirements in APAC.
• To update related SOP to the latest format/practice.
• To assist SARA in other aspects of work assigned.
• To improve training materials i.e Labeling Requirements in APAC.
• To provide SARA related trainings to the respective stakeholders.
• To follow the company’s rules and regulations.
• Project to Complete: (1) Nutrition & Health Claim Database and (2) Onboarding Module Development

• Academic Program: You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Nutrition, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent.
• Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English – Having some similar hands‑on experience with food research activities is always a benefit.
• Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 6 months to this internship.
• Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week.
