Job summary

JDE Peet’s, now part of Keurig Dr Pepper, is a leading coffee company with a presence in over 100 markets. The Regulatory Affairs role supports SEA export markets including USA and Canada, ensuring compliance with evolving food regulations and driving governance across the SARA function.

As part of the team, you will monitor regulatory changes, collaborate with R&D, quality, and legal, and guide product development to meet local requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates with working exposures or experiences in Regulatory Affairs within food industry of SEA market, preferably coffee & tea industry.
  • Experience supporting governance processes, documentation management, reporting, or compliance activities is preferred.
  • Considerable understanding of nutrition science and food safety.
  • Understanding of product development, ingredients, manufacturing and business processes.
  • Experience with digital tools, workflow systems, data management, and reporting platforms would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the new / changes of Food Regulatory requirements (including industry trends & practices) for South East Asia (SEA) Export Markets including USA and Canada, conduct business impact assessment, inform Internal Stakeholders and adapt Regulatory strategies accordingly and timely.
  • Represent JDE Peet’s as the Company Representative in Local Industry / Trade Associations, Scientific Institutions and Government bodies in collaboration with SARA Team Leads and/or R&D Lead.
  • Stay abreast of emerging scientific issues and legislation changes.
  • Support regulatory compliance reviews including specifications, CopyDeck/Text+, artwork etc. and the relevant documentation activities for assigned export markets.
  • Coordinate collection, verification, and maintenance of regulatory information, supporting evidence, and compliance records for Regulatory risk assessment, Claim verification and Regulatory advises (SARA4U).
  • Support project teams in ensuring regulatory requirements are considered during product development, renovation, commercialization, and supply continuity projects for assigned export markets.
  • Escalate potential compliance concerns, risks, or regulatory gaps to SARA Specialists and Team Leads in a timely manner.
  • Timely reviews and approves new raw materials and product specifications for regulatory compliance in local and other countries, including checking product recipes, nutrition data, allergens information and promotional materials to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
  • When Halal is concern, able to provide compliance guidance to the Stakeholders.
  • Act as the one of the key coordinators for Regulatory Excellence initiatives across the regional organization.
  • Support development, implementation, and monitoring of process harmonization, simplification, automation, and digitization initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities aimed at improving quality, accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of SARA deliverables.
  • Support governance and maintenance of SARA knowledge management systems, best practice repositories, templates, guidance documents, and training materials.
  • Provide scientific expertise and support to cross functional teams in areas such as Product Development, Clinical Research, Market Research, Quality and Customer Experience.
  • Support regulatory intelligence activities through maintaining regulatory databases, trackers, and monitoring tools.
  • Ensure regulatory knowledge, market requirements, lessons learned, and compliance decisions are appropriately documented and retained.
  • Support preparation of internal regulatory newsletters, compliance updates, and governance communications.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide educational materials to internal stakeholders to enhance understanding of Regulatory requirements, governance processes and promotes Compliance Culture.
  • Assist in onboarding new SARA team members through governance-related training and documentation.
  • Promote best practices and consistent application of SARA procedures across the region.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including R&D Product Team, Packaging & D2P, Regional Quality & Food Safety, Marketing, and Legal, to facilitate regulatory compliance and achieve business objectives, regularly.
  • Collaborate closely with internal SARA Team in supporting compliance checks for products/projects that involves multiple markets and drives simplicity way of working.
  • Support cross-functional projects requiring regulatory governance oversight and compliance coordination.

Job Description
1. Regulatory Affairs
