EDV Werke invites a SAP BI Consultant (SAP BW/4HANA) to join a hybrid role in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The candidate will handle requirements analysis, data model development, performance optimization, and go-live support, while ensuring data integrity and system stability.

Must have at least 5 years with SAP BW, strong BI and data warehousing knowledge, ABAP basics, and English fluency to coordinate with stakeholders. The position offers a B2B contract and a dynamic collaboration environment.

Qualifications

• SAP BW experience with at least 5 years.
• BI & data warehousing knowledge and data modeling.
• Hands-on SAP BW/4HANA and/or SAP BW on HANA experience.
• ABAP for development, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Analyze business needs and prepare functional/technical specs.
• Experience with testing, troubleshooting, data validation, and operational support.
• Fluency in English and strong stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

Tasks

• Requirements Analysis – Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications, user stories, and solution designs
• Data Model Development – Design and enhance SAP BW/4HANA models, including ADSOs, CompositeProviders, and data flows
• Performance Optimization – Analyze and optimize data models, data loads, transformations, and reporting processes
• Solution Enhancement – Implement changes while maintaining system stability, data integrity, and backward compatibility
• Testing & Validation – Execute unit and integration tests, support UAT, and assist business users with solution validation
• Operational Support – Monitor data pipelines and manage incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs
• Go-Live Support – Support deployments and provide post-go-live hypercare within agreed capacity and timelines
• Documentation & Handover – Maintain technical documentation and transfer knowledge through walkthroughs, design reviews, and handover sessions

Must-Have Skills

• SAP BW Experience – At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with SAP BW
• BI & Data Warehousing – Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling
• SAP BW Technologies – Practical experience with SAP BW/4HANA and/or SAP BW on HANA
• ABAP Development – Working knowledge of ABAP for development, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Requirements Management – Ability to analyze business needs and prepare functional and technical specifications
• Testing & Support – Experience with testing, troubleshooting, data validation, and operational support
• Communication Skills – Fluency in English and strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Analytical Mindset – Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and an interest in technical leadership
