Job summary

Subway in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a friendly Sandwich Artist. You will greet guests, take accurate orders, prepare food to Subway standards, handle payments via POS, and promote items to boost sales.

You will ensure food safety, assist with restocking, and maintain a clean workspace while upholding Subway’s brand image. Training courses and uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to hear, read, understand, and follow instructions accurately.
• Well-groomed, in a clean uniform, and professional in appearance.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 15kg, and perform repetitive tasks on a shift.
• Comfortable working in a busy environment while taking orders clearly.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly, take accurate orders, and provide a welcoming experience.
• Prepare and serve food products according to Subway standards, ensuring quality, freshness, and safety.
• Operate the POS system to process orders, handle payments, and balance the till.
• Promote menu items, suggestively sell products, and introduce new promotions to customers.
• Monitor food temperatures, maintain proper storage, and restock items as needed.
• Follow all food handling, safety, sanitation, and operational procedures outlined in the Subway Operations Manual.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, organized, and hygienic workspace.
• Safeguard company property, employee ID, cash, and other assets during your shift.
• Keep supervisors informed of any issues or unusual matters and take corrective action as needed.
• Assist team members during busy periods and contribute to a cooperative, positive work environment.
• Maintain professional appearance, grooming standards, and a favorable image of Subway always.
• Complete light paperwork and online coursework through University of Subway as required.

Provide a friendly and welcoming experience for guests by greeting and serving them warmly. SKILL & QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Ability to hear, read, understand, and follow instructions accurately.

Well-groomed, in a clean uniform, and professional in appearance.

Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 15kg occasionally), and perform repetitive tasks during a 6–8 hour shift.

Comfortable working in a busy, sometimes noisy environment, taking orders clearly and accurately.

Proficient in POS operations and handling cash, QR, or credit card transactions.

Able to maintain food safety, take temperatures accurately, and perform inventory checks.

Willingness to work in any restaurant area as needed and complete assigned training courses:
